In response to changing lifestyles and work habits, it will offer generous, adaptable and multifunctional living spaces, housing with large bay windows, a large green terrace, a flexible and convivial agora, restaurant spaces, a fitness room, as well as flexible, reversible offices conducive to informal exchanges.<\/p>
The building is a post-and-beam structure, with wood-frame facades and terracotta cladding. At least 80% of the wood used will be of French origin and more than 95% from FSC or PEFC certified forests. The project aims to achieve an E3C1-30% certification, tending towards E3C2 and BBCA. 30% of the roof surface will produce photovoltaic electricity, which will be used for self-consumption. The project brings together three main entities: a well-differentiated part with ESAT in the West, a housing part in the East, and a pivot building, with a mixed program: the administration and offices of ESAT on the ground floor and R + 1 and housing between R + 2 and R + 5. Each entity is organized around an outdoor space, covered or not: the technical courtyard for ESAT and the heart of the block for housing. The project offers various heights and roofs, tapered volumes and skewed facades, in order to increase the views and reduce the opposite.<\/p>
The production workshops and offices of ESAT, an establishment for disabled people, are made of a wooden structure. Our main concern for this program is to offer a building with great qualities of use and comfort for users, where open spaces and opening of the building to the outside are essential. The wide openings to the outside and the wood inside create a warm environment and offer maximum well-being to users. Numerous studies have shown that the visibility of wood indoors promotes the ability to concentrate and recuperate as well as the feeling of comfort.<\/p>
This building is part of an approach to bring nature and biodiversity back to the heart of the Lozaits district of Villejuif. The landscape design envelops the buildings in a green setting. Rainwater is collected from the roofs to be stored in a rain garden. The landscape structure collects rainwater and guarantees its flow and infiltration into the garden. <\/p>
Amidst the maritime pines, the pavilion evokes a nascent forest. Its spiral shape guides the visitor along the open palisade, revealing fragments of the surrounding landscape between the gaps in the wooden poles. Gradually, the palisades are superimposed and become denser, the boundary between exterior and interior blurring, while the succession of poles produces a kinetic effect that seems to make the pavilion vibrate. Inside the structure, the smell of wood manifests itself, giving a presence to the material and inviting you to touch it. At the end of the path, the central area, as an open window to the sky, gives way to natural light which, as the day progresses, draws shadows that pick out the structure.<\/p>
As night falls, the pavilion lights up to become a sculptural lantern, appearing to float through the vast gardens plunged into darkness.<\/p>
<\/p>
The Pavilion let’s play! is a place for games and sport. Punctuated by basketball nets at different heights, and by football nets, the central space invites the young and old to play. The regulatory format of sports pitches is left behind to create a rounded, sculptural enclosure, a playful space encouraging its liberal and creative appropriation by its users. The pavilion will host artistic performances during the Nuit des Cabanes event on 25 June 2022.<\/p>
<\/p>
DREAM’s material of choice, wood is pushed to its limits here. The double curve of the upper ribbon is a technical challenge: it undulates both vertically, following the different heights of the poles, and horizontally, following the spiral shape of the structure. A technical feat that reveals the agility of the material, and seems to make the wood dance like a fabric ribbon. The pavilion is the fruit of a collaboration between architects, engineers and manufacturers from the French wood industry. At the time of its delivery in 2018, this project was the tallest wood-frame office building built to date in France, and was also one of the first to be awarded the Low Carbon Building label in Bordeaux.
Facing the Garonne River, this building is emblematic of the Euratlantique district and the region's desire to develop the local wood industry. face for the northern entrance to the Part-Dieu district. It is the focal point of the different programs of the project: a layering of local shops on the groundfloor of 800 sq. m., 22,800 sq. m. of offices from the 1st to the 7th floor and 7,400 sq. m. of accommodation with large outdoor spaces. A single skin envelops the different programs forming a single whole, part of the composition of Part Dieu. The bay windows have been tilted on the four axes allowing the facade to vibrate and sparkle subtly according to the day and the seasons.
Made of low carbon concrete, the building is part of a process of integrating biodiversity: reintegrating nature into a mineral environment. The almost geological morphology of the building carries with it plant environments. These nature extracts refer to the Pilat massif, topographic icon of the Lyonnais territory. Set in a landscape with strong urban contrasts, between a road junction bordered by the A86 and the Triangle de l'Echat, its ascending volume and its wide terraces in tiers constitute a clearly identifiable architectural signal.<\/p>The building is designed with a flexible structural system such as wooden post-beams to reduce the carbon footprint of the operation. <\/p>
The volumetric fragmentation of the building reveals a tier of large terraces with gardens that offer the staff generous extensions of their work space with views to the outside. Against the backdrop of increasingly flexible working arrangements and dynamic companies, the agency's design was guided by three main guiding principles: to create attractive workspaces, to generate meeting places, and to offer flexibility and architectural adaptability. Through the prism of Mediterranean architecture, the terraces were conceived as outdoor workspaces. Transparent facades let in the light, while the overhangs of the terraces provide protection from the sun by forming a climatic screen.<\/p>
By choosing to place all circulation systems outside, rather than in the center of the building, the floor areas were freed up, fluids were integrated accordingly, and false ceilings were eliminated. This innovation offers maximum freedom for companies in their choice of layout, as well as an enhanced feeling of space. The 4-star Hotel d'Annemasse is located at a nerve center in the heart of the city, located on the forecourt of the new station square. Through this strategic location, it is part of the dynamics of change taking place in the cross-border territory of Greater Geneva.
This establishment contains 102 rooms, a restaurant, seminar rooms and a bar on the rooftop, allowing its visitors to connect with the exceptional landscape quality of the site, in the heart of the mountain ranges of the Alps and the Jura.
The exterior architecture of the building is contemporary, sober and uncluttered. Its envelope is mainly mineral for the base and the main body, and consists of a metallic and reflective volume at the last level. The main volume (ground floor and current floors) consists of a mineral double skin. Outside, a skeleton of precast concrete cornices and columns, in homage to Annemassian neoclassical heritage. Added to this is a second skin, a real thermal envelope of the building, made up of a mineral coating with two "earth" tones and randomly shaped aluminum joinery. The upper volume, housing a bar with panoramic terrace, seminar rooms and a fitness room, is treated as an independent element of the general volume. The first family of buildings plays on a dissociation into two volumes articulated around a largely illuminated and truly staged vertical circulation, inspired by the majestic staircases of the large Vesigondine residences. The second family articulates four dwellings around a central core, to create unhooked facades that lighten the massiveness of the whole. Each building is embellished with a vertical facade structure supporting the exterior extensions of the accommodation and making reference to the trunks of neighboring trees. The roofs are made accessible thanks to private terraces.
This housing complex is located in the heart of a green setting made up in particular of deciduous trees, which in winter let light through after the loss of their leaves and in summer bring shade and freshness to the inhabitants. The square shape of the buildings makes it possible to offer bi-oriented apartments that promote natural ventilation. A landscaped valley near the buildings collects rainwater and guarantees its infiltration into the garden. This, made with various local species, contributes to biodiversity on the site. The architectural integration is ensured by a double typology of facades. The first, on the esplanade side, is inspired by the historic buildings of Épernay, with a terracotta tile facing on a smooth, stained concrete base. This mineral urbanity contrasts with the second facade on the garden side, which is treated as a green setting and covered with a light white aluminum mesh that accommodates climbing plants. The hotel is built in wood structure, from local and biosourced productions.
