Athletes' Village Games of Paris 2024

Bureaux, foodcourt, équipement sportif en bois

This wooden structure building includes 3 programs: a food court, work spaces with double height loggias, and a sports area on the top floor. The façade of the building echoes the industrial past of Saint-Ouen through the generous proportions of its bay windows. Its architecture is made up of noble materials: solid wood structure, enamelled terracotta cladding and metal sunshades. The vertical circulation installed outside allows to optimize the access to the different spaces of the project.

The structure is divided into two parts: an infra structure in low carbon concrete, naturally lit and reversible parking lots to allow an extension of the ground floor programs; a super structure consisting of a post and beam system in solid wood with prefabricated low carbon concrete floors from the first to the sixth floor. With a clear height of over 8m and an exposed wooden framework, the top level on the seventh floor houses the sports facilities (three 3x3 baskets fields ).
